Startup in Residence Zuid-Holland

On the 19th of February the province of Zuid-Holland announced its twelve challenges. With the Startup in Residence programme the province invites startups to come up with creative, smart and innovative solutions for regional challenges. With the announcement of the challenges, the Startup in Residence programme Zuid-Holland is now officially in full-swing!

Through this programme the province and startups get to work together and learn from each other. On the one hand, startups get to work closely with a big government organisation and develop their idea and business together, while on the other hand, startups help with innovating the province of Zuid-Holland.

"These young entrepreneurs often have refreshing and innovative ideas, which they can implement in a short time-span. With the input of startups the province can move fast with concrete solutions", Regional Minister for Economic Affairs, Adri Bom-Lemstra states. "For startups the programme is a great opportunity, as it may lead to having the province as launching customer”.

The selected startups will start in May with the programme. They will have access to workspaces within the provinciehuis. In addition, the programme includes training sessions, workshops, coaches and mentors to help further develop their concepts and prototypes.
