International attention for airline start-ups in Zuid-Holland

Four aerospace start-ups from Zuid-Holland have pitched their innovation to around 100 international professionals from the aviation, aerospace and defence industries. They had been selected by 'Starburst', the industry's international promoter.

Starburst is the greatest global accelerator for aerospace and defence start-ups. The organisation links corporates and investors to promising starting businesses at home and abroad. To that end, it organises the so-called Selection Committee events, for the first time in The Netherlands on Monday 13 November 2017. Ten selected start-ups and scale-ups were given the opportunity to present their business to representatives of larger aviation, aerospace and defence companies and investors in field lab YES!Delft.

Innovation hotspots

Starburst had been invited to Delft by the Netherlands Aerospace Group, InnovationQuarter, the Province of Zuid-Holland and the municipality of Delft, as the Zuid-Holland region offers many opportunities for the industry, as shown by the pitches of 4 companies from Zuid-Holland. Regional Minister Adri Bom-Lemstra (Economy) "It is inspiring to see all these innovations and innovative concepts from the region. You really see the enthusiasm of the large companies, that meet the entrepreneurs of our region on the trade floor; I am convinced that in doing all this, we have shown the international aerospace industry that we, too, are a true innovation hotspot!"
