Al lot of enthusiasm at the Interreg North Sea Region meeting in the Provincial Government Building

On Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 January, the Province of Zuid-Holland hosted the Interreg North Sea Region programma. The purpose of the North Sea programme is to support, develop and boost the economic growth in the area around the North Sea.

Almost 100 persons from seven different countries eagerly took part in the various programme components.

The programme started with a network meeting, during which potential partners could meet and make pitches about a project idea.

On the second day, a lot of information about the programme was shared and there was time for consultations with the experts of the Interreg secretariat. Regional Minister Jeanette Baljeu started the day in an inspired manner by pointing out the importance of the Interreg projects and international cooperation within the European Union. Zuid-Holland research shows that organisations and businesses from the province of Zuid-Holland are actively involved in many projects and as such, receive a great deal of European funding.

She wished the participants success in the drafting and implementation of innovative projects.
